The Toad. Possibly the most popular design I've done from the first range, the look of it, the way it has been printed on a shirt. The filth.
By why the toad?
The toad is an abstract portrait of a friend of mine (Yes not just another innuendo piece cunts), His name is Scott Rogers, known amongst friends as Scotty, Scotty Rogerz, Scotty Fucking Rogerz, Toad, Boot, Padlock, along with other one-off satirical nonsense.
The story of getting the name Toad takes me back to Toolies 2008 (Yes not Schoolies which I attended in 2007). A few of the boys got an apartment on Circle on Cavill for the week, split very cheaply, and basically wrecked havoc and caused ruckus whenever possible.
Amongst the crew was Scott, who infact did not pay a cent to stay for the week. It was one afternoon and we're all most likely hungover right in the middle of the week, Scott is lying on the couch, slothing it up. That's when another friend Hughesie turns and looks at him and says:
"Mate, you look like a fucking toad".
The rest is history. More a less the piece has that side to it, the revelation of getting such an obscure name, the other part is the long friendship I've had with this man, sharing one day apart birthdays in December, He being the reason for my first consumption/demise into alcoholism, amongst other things.
Been through a lot and here's my way in saying Cheers Cunt.
Paul Fisher seems like a regular Aussie reveller. Except whatever havoc he gets up too, he's got a camera there to capture it all. I posted a video yesterday on the book called Dam Day, where him and professional monster wave surfer Ryan Hipwood, slide down a dam on boogie boards and basically make the viewer uber jealous. Got plenty of other videos on his website and vimeo account, should check them. Fish makes mistakes is certainly one for the ages.
LA Noire is an upcoming video game developed by Team Bondi with Rockstar Games. It s set in "a perfectly re-created Los Angeles" of 1947, with players being given an open-ended challenge to solve a series of murder mysteries.
As the title suggests, the game draws heavily from both plot and aesthetic elements of film noir - stylistic films from the 1940s and 1950s that shared similar visual styles and themes including crime, sex and moral ambiguity and were often shot in black and white with harsh, low-key lighting. The game uses a distinctive coloring-style in homage to the visual style of film noir. The post-war setting is the backdrop for plot elements that reference the detective films of the '40s, such as corruption and drugs, with a classical jazz soundtrack.
L.A. Noire is also notable for using Lightsprint's real-time global illumination technology, as well as Depth Analysis's newly developed piece of technology for the film and video game industries called MotionScan, where actors are recorded by 32 surrounding cameras to capture facial expressions from every angle. With this technology the look of the characters in the game are almost life-like. Check out a few clips for it below. The game is due out May 17th in the US, May 20th in Europe.
Went out for a work friends 21st friday night. sported a Dozer tee, some sweet braces and acid wash jeans. Night got loose, Happy birthday Mel. Tuttle is responsible for the snaps.
With one record Yolanda Be Cool have gone straight to the top of the music industry a list. Their second single – ‘We No Speak Americano’ (co-produced with DCUP) sold over 5 million copies and hit number 1 in 18 countries; infiltrating radio waves, TV shows, and pretty much every dance floor in the world over the summer. You’d need to be a Tarantino assassinated corpse to have not felt its impact in some form. With a name nodding to the final scene in Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction when Samuel L Jackson’s character shouts “BE COOL YOLANDA!” to the crazed female armed-robber, this renegade order to keep your calm when you hit the big time has now taken on more relevance than ever intended. Also known as Johnson Peterson and Slyvester Martinez, Yolanda Be Cool have demonstrated that with the panache and production skills to back it up it’s possible to cultivate an international smash hit without the need for a major label vehicle, instead releasing on homegrown Australian indie ‘Sweat It Out’. With over ten years DJing under their belts their musical influences extend far beyond their Native Sydney, from old school hip hop, to Chicago house to techno to pretty much everything in between. Bondi beach locals at heart, when out of the studio or not playing at the biggest clubs in the world you’ll find them at the beach catching waves. The distinctly tropical flavour to their productions and fiercely educational attitude to sampling (in the case of We Speak No Americano crate digging as far back as 1950’s Italia) combined with their big room pull to pack out festival stages and mammoth venues, as a dance act, nods more to creative sampling heavyweights like Switch than any of their more current peers. With demand calling on tours in North and Central America, South America, Australia Asia and Europe in the first half of 2011 and the follow up single to ‘We Speak No Americano’ about to drop plus an artist album in the pipeline while Johnson and Slyvester may be keeping their cool, they’re certainly not resting on their laurels… Expect big things from these guys in 2011.
CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER is an upcoming superhero flick about the comic book superhero CAPTAIN AMERICA. The film stars Chris Evans (Fantastic Four) as Steve Rogers, deemed physically unfit for the US Army in World War II, until he signs up for Project: Rebirth. The film also stars Tommy Lee Jones, Hugo Weaving & Stanley Tucci. The film will be out July 22nd and the trailer is below.
It's Friday again and I thought I'd make a note of the song that fatcats from all around the world are dubbing the "Worst Song Ever". Rebecca Black's "Friday", has hit over 40 million + views on Youtube alone, also reportedly earning $1 million dollars from sales on the iTunes store.
Everyone is giving her shit yet she and the producers of this god awful track are laughing all the way to the bank. I don't blame her for it, she's the product, she's the face that producers sell to make their money, she's the puppet. They wrote the song, made the video, auto-tuned the fuck out of her voice, put some creepy old rapper in the vid, and now are cashing in on it.
I blame them, this sort of stuff reminds me of how much the music business is just cashing in on shit repetitive teeny/tweeny pop music, dance music, electropop music, yet real artists writing their own songs sit casually independently or unknown. They are other songs with young tween singers that the Ark Music Factory has released, personally I'd say they're all better than Friday, but not that hard to do so.
One good thing to come from this are the parody videos. They are plenty floating around the internet and I'm going to post a few up below. Enjoy.
Alex Williamson is an Aussie stand up comedian, who posts plenty of hilarious stuff on youtube. From sketches and segments involving safe sex, sexting, drugs, the continuing NRL & AFL sex scandals, and of course Ben Cousins. I'll post some of his videos below, certainly some funny segments. Here's a little more about Alex, courtesy of his official website:
"After watching Jurassic Park as a 5 year old, Alex Williamson knew exactly what he wanted to do in life – get involved in film…whether he was directing, writing, acting or just making coffee for Sam Neill between takes. He also wanted to start a Dinosaur amusement park, but luckily his father talked some sense into him with a length of hard bamboo.
Growing up in the small country town of Willunga in South Australia, Alex discovered there wasn’t much to do, which inspired him to get his first video camera at the age of 15. Alex then began to film various artistic pieces of cinema with his friends (throwing water-bombs at cars on the highway) and developed his technical skills through his high school media studies, and his social etiquette skills through 6 hour Seinfeld marathons.
Alex has been a stand up comedian in Adelaide for several years now, performing at venues such as The Rhino Room, Pj O’Brians, The Highway and the Royal Adelaide Showgrounds since he was 18. He was a state finalist in Triple J’s Raw Comedy in 2009, and also had the opportunity to participate in the the Sammy D Charity Gala in 2010, where he performed alongside Arj Barker, Tom Gleeson, Wil Anderson and Damian Callinan.
His involvement and obsession with sport, in particular Australian Rules Football, prompted him to utilize his media skills and acting ability to produce a short film about an obsessed AFL ‘Dream Team’ Coach (2009). The success of these videos resulted in Alex having a segment on Channel 7′s AFL Gameday (2009), which appeared on sunday mornings on television sets right around Australia.
Since then Alex has produced comedy videos alongside some of the AFL’s most talented players (Embley, Tippett, Motlop, Porplyzia). Along with his various online sketches, Alex has also been involved in two successful online web series, ‘Too Easy’ (Alex Williamson, David M. Green 2010) and ‘Lapse in Motivation’ (Alex Williamson, Jack Ellis 2010).
A move to Melbourne beckons, as Alex begins to understand there are limited opportunities in Adelaide (none)."
As I've already notified the world of internet. A few of our shirts are selling at we say so in Kiama NSW. Owner Shane has sent through a photo of evidence (after constant nagging, sorry Shane). If you're nearby head on down and see it for yourself.

Taco. A delicious mexican dish. To state a funny story that happened recently. I was asked what was the "deal" with all the food designs.
Such an innocent, blessed by ignorance soul child, for it was only a matter of seconds I would ruin the idea of Tacos, Pancakes, and Hot Dog/Chilli Dogs for the rest of time.
It's been the easiest one to open up about, simply cause it isn't as graphic as the others, Taco = Women's Woohoo to quote a studly genius who was interviewed recently.

Nathaniel Hale, better known as NATE DOGG, passed away on March 15th due to congestive heart failure. He was 41. The rapper had suffered multiple strokes the past couple of years, first one in 2007, and a second in 2008.
The rapper was best known for his collaboration work with many artists including Dr Dre, Eminem, 50 Cent, Warren G and many more.
He was nominated for 4 Grammy awards for his work with Warren G on the song "Regulate" in 1995, Dr Dre's "The Next Episode" in 2001, Ludacris' "Area Codes" in 2002, and finally Eminem's track "Shake That" in 2007.
Plenty of artists are paying tribute to the man who "liked good pussy and liked good tree". Here's a few clips below, RIP.
THE LINCOLN LAWYER is an upcoming mystery thriller film starring Matthew McConaughey, Ryan Phillippe & Marisa Tomei. The film is based on the novel of the same name written by Michael Connelly. The plot is below:
"Mickey Haller (Matthew McConaughey) is a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney who operates out of the back of his Lincoln sedan. Haller has spent most of his career defending garden-variety criminals, until he lands the case of his career: Louis Roulet (Ryan Phillippe), a Beverly Hills playboy and son of a major businessman who is accused of rape and attempted murder. But the seemingly straightforward case suddenly develops into a deadly game of survival for Haller."
The film is due out this friday in the States, but will be out in Australia March 31st.
Discovered a new hip hopper last night, from watching the Ryan Phillippe interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, this guy is simply known as WAX. He's from California and a few days ago released his debut mixtape called "Scrublife", hosted by DJ Skee and Dale Firebird.
Big Wax is now signed to the major hip hop label Def Jam. He describes his music as a mix of "Johnny Cash & Jay-Z", while Ryan Phillippe describes it as a mix of "Eminem & Sublime".
I'll quote a part of his bio from his website which I'll put below, but definitely download the free copy of SCRUBLIFE now. I'll post a few tracks also.
"As Wax continues his journey to fame, with a fan base constantly swelling (he’s already had fans show up on his doorstep), he maintains his Scrublife mantra while reinventing the wheel of Hip‐Hop. “Picture a rapper with a gold chain and a car…I’m the exact opposite of that,” he says. “Beer bottles all over the place, and a smile on your face.”
PROM NIGHT is another party organisation that has started up on the coast, running at elsewhere every month. I believe this is the second one with 3 acts from Sydney, ELMO IS DEAD, OH GLAM & ASTRIX, supported by Sammy Owens & Hey Arnold. Thursday March 31st is the date to save critters.
We're all looking for Success, in any sort of given field. Whether it be in the business, romance, creation, fame and fortune.
Success the design shows a dude with two ladies, most men would call that a success. Talks of reversing it for a womens design. A vision is in the works.
What is important with success is happiness, the old cliche money can't buy happiness, I think I can for awhile, eventually it probably turns on you. If you're happy and successful, you're winning, If you're unsuccessful and still happy, you're still winning. Enjoy what you do, who you are, enjoy yourself.

This band has certainly a unique sound for something come out of the Gold Coast, a good brit-pop indie sound. The band has played plenty of notable gigs, most recently the local stage at the 2011 Gold Coast Big Day Out. Suss it.
Local muso ANDREW TAYLOR is having an EP launch at the Old Museum next Saturday. The gig features old friend of mine Jayden Courts amongst other names. Buy tickets at the Old Museum website or at the Door. There is a show on Tonight and next Saturday. solid.
High-school friends that started a band after a couple bad breakups in Australia's California; The Gold Coast. Played everywhere they could for 2 years. Made friends, broke hearts, kidnapped garden gnomes and Glued a toy horse to the front of their van, then moved to Toronto to do pretty much the same. Four friends who love rock’n’roll, still standing on the wall and slurring all our words.
