The Cool Calm Collective
http://www.myspace.com/thecoolcalmcollective

Its been a steady rise thus far for Gold Coast seven piece The Cool Calm Collective since their first gig in 2006. Having played a countless number of sold out shows since their inception, as well as securing JJJ airplay, coveted festival spots and a host of high profile support slots ... it seems as though The Cool Calm Collective are emerging as the band to watch in 2010. Whether its reckless reggae party anthems or messages of love, life, and loss; The Cool Calm Collective deliver with soulful melodies and infectious grooves...

Anarchist Duck

http://www.myspace.com/anarchistduck

Anarchist Duck fuse funk, reggae, rock and rhymes with a world music feel and their trademark harmonies. From humble beginnings Anarchist Duck have this year secured a place at Corinbank Festival, Southern Oracle Festival, Nimbin Mardi Grass and were also placed in the top ten albums at Brisbane's 4ZZZ. They have received nation-wide airplay of their new album 'Propaganda' which was produced with Paulie B of The Beautiful Girls. They are renowned for transforming audiences into dancing, karni mayhem.

PamPamPam!

http://www.myspace.com/pampampamband

Pampampam! is a four piece from a quiet little town on the east coast of Australia Called the Gold Coast. The four members have all been friends for years and years but only started jaming together in early 2008. They named the band after the drummer's mum and started playing shows in front of real people in real venues in early 2009 and haven't looked back since. They try and make atmospheric dancy rock and don't have a synth but might buy one. Their sound is influenced by an array of artists Interpol, Silversun Pickups, Joy Division and Kings of Leon, is to name only but a few.

Brothers

http://www.myspace.com/brotherscountry

Prior to being active members of the Queensland music scene, Brothers shared their roots in a queit NSW mountain town. Their matured psycheledic no-appologies rock n roll has seen them share the stage with the likes of, Wolfmother, The Choir boys, Philadelphia Grand Dury & The Galvatrons. Their Debut self titled EP is making waves so do yourself a favour and get a copy.

Rogerthat

http://www.myspace.com/rogerthatofficial

They fly that freak-flag up on high & into the sky. Swaying like the breeze, mind whistling like leaves, it's all in the way Bailey on vocals (with his Amish beard & anti-establishment grooves) makes Rogerthat the very Zeitgeist of it all! If ever there was anything lacking from our apocalypse as envisioned in childhood, it's in the sights THEY bring to our feverish minds - it's in the second coming of the mad 70's blunt groove, Rogerthat style. If ever there was a diagonal slide into sweet oblivion that needed magnifying with guitar, bass, drum & electrified amp, Rogerthat is the one to deliver it.

Igloo

http://www.myspace.com/iglootheband

IGLOO is a dynamic new 5-piece live electronic funk band straight outta
Southern Queensland. A new world fusion that moves the organic to meet the
electronic amidst fat chunky beats reminiscent of the Brighton Big Beat era,
thanks to resident Beat Doctor-Benwahh; old skool sampling and turntablism
courtesy of Freddy Flyfingaz (Tijuana Cartel) and killer electric riffs
sitting pretty amidst the sweet, soulful vocals of Miss Jeliza Rose. Backed
up with big fat live bass by none other than Otto Mitter
(Kwerkshoppe/Bowser) and laced with the unique percussive expressions of
Tuan (Wunluv), these musicians have a collective experience that spans many
decades and their palpable musical chemistry is as powerful as it is
captivating. Armed with a killer bunch of tunes, quirky fun hooks, a great
sense of humour and a sound that is uniquely IGLOO, this band have
everything it takes to make a racket that's gonna get noticed.
