Here is a preview of the latest offering from VINCE VAUGHN (SWINGERS, DODGEBALL, WEDDING CRASHERS). The film is entitled "THE DILEMMA" and also stars KEVIN JAMES, JENNIFER CONNELLY, WINONA RYDER, CHANNING TATUM and QUEEN LATIFAH.

The film is set to release on January 14, 2011 and is directed by Ron Howard.

The synopsis according to Wikipedia is:

"A man (Vince Vaughn) is unsure if he should tell his best friend and business partner (Kevin James) that his wife (Winona Ryder) is cheating on him with another man (Channing Tatum) after catching them in the act."

At Or With Me

"Mellow Man" Jack Johnson has released a music video for his new single "At Or With Me" off his latest album "To The Sea". The video features SNL funny man Andy Samberg with his Lonely Island buddies Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone, as well G. Love. Below is the clip as well as a behind the scenes vid, where Johnson explains the origins of the clip, which features Johnson and Samberg getting into a biffo.

I'm Still Here - Just A Mockumentary

Well Joaquin Phoenix returned to the Dave Letterman Show on September 22nd, and has finally sealed the question on whether or not the actor was having a mental breakdown or not, which infact he wasn't. Phoenix in the interview describes he was inspired by reality TV to pursue this idea with brother in law Casey Affleck. Check out the full interview below, worth the watch.

The Fighter

A trailer for a new dramatic boxing movie called "The Fighter" came out last week, it stars Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. From the trailer looks like a good flick... hopefully. Following quote taken from Wikipedia:

"The film centers on the life of professional boxer "Irish" Micky Ward (Wahlberg) and his older brother Dickie Eklund (Christian Bale)."

Memories Music Video

We reported a week or so ago about Weezer's new album "HURLEY", they now have a video clip for the debut single "MEMORIES". The clip features some familiar faces, the cast of JACKASS appears in the clip, as the song shall appear on the soundtrack of the upcoming mega pic JACKASS 3D.

Nauseating Suburbia

Gold Coast punk act SKYWAY released a free download for their latest EP "NAUSEATING SUBURBIA" on August 20th, it contains 5 songs, good local punk act. head to http://www.skywaypoppunk.com to get a copy.

The Fall Season

Although we are well into Spring, across the world it is now Autumn (or Fall for the Yanks). The Fall season is known for one of many things, No more leaves on trees but also, new season of my favourite TV shows. The season premieres of TWO AND A HALF MEN and HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER occurred within the last few hours or so in the states, so plenty of megavideo antics shall occur over the next few months. I have the premiere of THE BIG BANG THEORY to look forward to later in the week, pleasant viewings.


Season 8 of TWO AND A HALF MEN starts September 20th.


Season 6 of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER starts September 20th.


Season 4 of THE BIG BANG THEORY begins September 23rd.

T-Shirt War

My Favourite Pillow

Just came across this video on YouTube. What happens when two guys get 600 pillows. They write a song about Pillows, film a music video singing the song backwards, and going bananas with pillows. Below is the result of the shenanigans created by Rhett & Link, and also is the making of video or the "forwards" version.

Runaway with Kanye and Pusha T.

Kanye West has released his 2nd single off his upcoming album "DARK TWISTED FANTASY" (formerly titled GOOD ASS JOB). The single is called "RUNAWAY" and features Pusha T. West performed the song at the VMA's this week and has confirmed a 40 minute film clip shall be released for the song (because 39 minutes is just silly), making it the longest music video in history, surpassing previous record holder Michael Jackson's clip for the song "GHOST". What?

Weezer - Hurley

Alternative rock band WEEZER, who are famous for such delights as "Beverly Hills", "Island In The Sun", "Buddy Holly" and "Pork & Beans" to name a few, have released their latest offering entitled "HURLEY". The album title and cover is of course was inspired by the character Hugo "Hurley" Reyes, from the ABC TV drama show LOST, who was portrayed by actor JORGE GARCIA. Garcia himself has stated it is one of the biggest honors of his career. The first single "Memories" is shown below, under a interview clip with lead singer RIVERS CUOMO explaining the origins of the album name and cover choice.

Dave Hill Photography

Dave Hill is a commercial photographer from Los Angeles, and quite frankly his portfolio has got some really appealing and eye drawing work. He has worked on photo shoots with WWE wrestlers, musicians, actors, and done plenty of advertising work. But what makes his work stand out is his editing techniques.

The technique he uses is called HIGH DYNAMIC RANGE (HDR). Wikipedia defines it is a set of techniques that allow a greater dynamic range of luminance between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than standard digital imaging techniques or photographic methods. This wider dynamic range allows HDR images to more accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes, ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight.

A Different Spin

Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 and +44 fame is coming out with his own music talk show entitled "A DIFFERENT SPIN", which will feature comedian Amy Schumer as co-host. The bit below is straight from wikipedia.

The show’s first press release was on June 22, 2010. Mark Hoppus stated "I am stoked to join the Fuse family and have a show where I can talk about a topic that I'm passionate about, music. More importantly, I'm excited to force millions of people to watch me on a weekly basis on national television."

Joaquin shreds beard at Venice Festival

Joaquin Phoenix appeared at the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of his new documentary about his transformation into a hip hop artist, "IM STILL HERE", directed by his brother-in-law and fellow actor Casey Affleck. The clip below shows all the proof, possibly it was just a life transformation piece?





IM STILL HERE opens September 10th in US cinemas, with a wider release plan on September 17th (hopefully this means Australia).

Anberlin drops their fifth studio album tomorrow entitled "Dark is the Way, Light is a Place". Supposedly big hype for it, got another single from the album below entitled "We Owe This To Ourselves", which will be the main song for the ESPN Summer X-GAMES. Been on the tube for awhile only just discovered, my fail.
